Who We Are

Tinsel is not your average group of Christmas carolers. Established in 2015 by Laura Mercado-Wright and Trevor Shaw, Tinsel performs our own original vocal jazz arrangements of your favorite holiday songs. Our roster is stacked with Austin’s best singers, and their distinctive harmonies and smooth blend take the carols you love to a whole new level.

WHAT WE DO

Tinsel is delighted to provide entertainment for a variety of holiday celebrations and events – both corporate and private. Tinsel has performed at shopping centers (strolling and singing), tree lighting ceremonies, lobbies of office buildings, art galleries, and hotels, restaurants and retirement communities, among other venues. If you can imagine us there, then there we shall be!

From classical to contemporary, Tinsel arrangements of holiday favorites are bright and innovative, while respecting tradition and cherished memories. Holiday gatherings and events will sparkle with sophistication and your guests will be delighted by contemporary classics, as well as beloved carols.

If you would like to be considered for an audition, please email Adrienne@tinselsingers.com or through the “contact us” link here on our website. Send us your resume and at least two recordings that reflect your best singing in the vocal jazz style. These can be accompanied or a cappella. Audition offers are sent out by late May or early June each year.
